Spaldings UK Ltd
Spaldings are Europe's leading distributor of Agricultural and Groundcare replacement parts, tools and accessories with 55 years experience of directly supplying farmers in the UK and Ireland.
Redcad were employed to reverse engineer their Flat Lift range of mounted cultivation equipment. 3D CAD models were completed for the product range to automatically create the comprehensive manufacturing package including the 2D drawings and DXF files for laser cutting.
Bills of Materials (BOMs) for the purchasing department were generated from the CAD models for their use in the procurement of parts. To complement the 3D CAD design a new part numbering system was implemented to assist in the identification and control of parts.
Spaldings - The Beadbuster
The Beadbuster is a new recently launched product used for assisting in the removal of tyres on large construction and agricultural vehicles. The item was modelled into 3D CAD from a one off manufactured sample prototype. The scope of the project was to reduce overall weight, reduce manufacturing cost/time and improve the range of tyre sizes that can be accommodated.
